Mama MadB’s Majikal Aussie Dukkah

MadB is a Djabugandji and Kaurareg person and famous Canberran drag queen who began their career in 2017 following public debate and protests in support of the Safe Schools education program. During a protest while dressed in drag someone called them ‘Crystal Balls’ – a name MadB owned and performed under for two years before changing to their current name which was given to them by their kids. MadB is a very supportive Queer* elder and activist that works tirelessly towards protecting Indigenous Queer* and Trans* kids. Even before we formally launched Queer Food, MadB asked if we could make a dukkah for their wedding, including lemon myrtle and lemon aspen from their home in Far North Queensland. It has been an honour to create this product with MadB, and now we want to share it with everyone too!
